Beyond the Spreadsheet: We’re Building an App for Our Members

For a long time, keeping our members informed meant maintaining an increasingly complex set of Google Sheets — tab after tab tracking share ownership, property performance, and distribution history. It worked, but “worked” is the ceiling, not the goal. We’re ready to move past it, and we’re excited to share that BACH is currently building a dedicated member app.

One Place for Everything

The goal of the app is simple to state and genuinely exciting to build: give every BACH member a single place to do two things — commit to buying shares, and see exactly how their properties are performing. No more toggling between emails, PDFs, and shared spreadsheets to piece together the full picture. One login, one dashboard, everything in one place.

Why We’re Moving On From Spreadsheets

Google Sheets served a purpose in BACH’s earlier days, but it was never designed to be an member-facing reporting platform. Spreadsheets are manual by nature — someone has to update them, which means the data an member sees is only ever as current as the last time it was refreshed. That lag might be a day, it might be longer, and even small delays add up to members making decisions based on numbers that are already out of date.

There’s also the matter of scale. As the number of properties and members in the BACH portfolio has grown, keeping a sprawling spreadsheet system accurate and easy to navigate has gotten harder, not easier. It was time for a tool actually built for what we’re trying to do.

Live Data Changes the Relationship

The centerpiece of the new app is real-time reporting. Instead of relying on a stale, manually-updated data set, members will be able to open the app and see current performance for their properties whenever they want — no waiting for the next spreadsheet refresh, no asking our team for an update. That kind of transparency is something we’ve wanted to offer for a long time, and it’s finally within reach.

This is a natural extension of everything else we’ve been building operationally. The same commitment that drives our monthly accounting discipline and our move to ACH-based dividend payments is what’s pushing us to modernize member reporting too — accurate numbers, delivered faster, with less friction for the people who trust us with their capital.

What’s Next

We’re deep in development and genuinely excited to get this into our members’ hands. An all-in-one platform for share commitments and live performance tracking is a meaningful step up from where we’ve been, and it reflects where BACH is headed: a more connected, more transparent, more modern way to invest in real estate alongside us.

We’ll have more to share as development continues — stay tuned.
